1.  What does Watchful Eye Investigations do?

Watchful Eye Investigations specializes in locating missing persons or companies who have money owed to them. After we find the person or company representative, we help them recover their money as quickly and efficiently as possible. [Top]

2.  How can I be missing, I’ve lived here for years and my name and address on your list are correct?

Some holders are not very motivated to return money to their clients. Many people we work with are not, and have not been, missing at all. It is not unusual for someone to say they have lived at the same address "forever". [Top]

3.  The names and address on the list are my parents who are deceased. What does this mean to me?

Generally speaking, when a person dies or a business is discontinued, the ownership of the assets pass to their heirs or successors. [Top]

4.  How did you find me?

Watchful Eye Investigations subscribes to databases that help us find individuals and companies. Because we are licensed and insured private investigators we can obtain data not available to private citizens. We spend a tremendous amount of time looking through court records and business archives. Friends and neighbors are often contacted. [Top]

5.  What will it cost me if I have you help me recover the money?

First and foremost, we NEVER charge anything unless we are successful. You NEVER pay anything in advance. Our fee represents a percentage of the amount recovered. Quite simply, no recovery, no fee. It is impossible to quote a fee without knowing the particulars about the case. For example, we have to charge more if the asset needs to be probated. In many cases, either a probate has not been filed or it has been so long since filing that it is no longer valid.  [Top]

6.  Why should I pay you to help me recover money that is mine in the first place?

Please understand that the company that originally held your money gave up on finding you long ago. They rarely spend any time and money to find people they owe money to.

We spend time and money to find individuals and companies. Once found, we have long distance calls, postage, document and legal process and filing fees. When probate is required, we have to pay our attorney to take care of the legal part of the recovery. We also have a unique computerized Follow-Up system to help our clients recover their assets. [Top]

7.  What if I am not the right person or business?

That happens. We try our best to establish ownership, and ask you to provide documented proof of your identity and data that will substantiate ownership of the asset. There are NEVER any fees if you are not the right person or we are unsuccessful with the recovery. [Top]

8.  How long does it take to get my money?

It can take anywhere from two months to a year, depending on the complexity of the recovery. [Top]

9.  How do I pay you?

Our clients NEVER pay anything in advance. If the holder sends the money to Watchful Eye Investigations, we deduct our fee and send you the balance. If the holder sends the money to you, we will bill you for our fee. We accept checks, cashier's checks, money orders, and major credit cards. [Top]

10.  What happens after I get my money?

The money is yours to do with as you please. If you have questions or concerns, you should discuss them with your tax consultant. [Top]

11.  I tried to recover these funds once and failed. Why should I try again?

With the exception of a little time, you have nothing to lose. We are experts in obtaining the documentation required to make these recoveries, and are successful when others have failed. Finally, we have a follow-up system to help remind clients when to send documents and to keep them appraised of the progress of the recovery. The Follow-Up System is an important part of our services to our clients. Due to the length of time it takes for these recoveries, the owner oftentimes forgets about it. The Follow-Up System prevents that from happening.  [Top]

12.  Some recovery firms charge a lot less, why should I use your firm?

We are experienced, dependable, licensed and insured, and have been in this business at the same location since 1992. Equally important are our services, we are committed to do as much of the work of obtaining documentation as possible.

A large part of our business is picking up where other firms left off. Unfortunately, in some cases our clients have already paid the other firm. Remember, we NEVER charge anything in advance and NEVER charge anything if we are unsuccessful.  [Top]

13.  I am sure this is a scam, how can I trust Watchful Eye Investigations?

This is risk free, you NEVER pay anything in advance and NEVER pay anything unless we are successful. We have our reputation to back us and hope that if you are skeptical, you will check our references. [Top]

14.  The Specific Power of Attorney (SPOA) makes me nervous, what can I do?

The SPOA is a necessary part of the recovery process. It gives Watchful Eye Investigations the authority to act in your behalf. Remember that this is a "Specific" Power of Attorney and only authorizes Watchful Eye Investigations to work on your behalf for this specific action alone. It does not give us authorization for any other purpose. [Top]
